Asher and Emery’s reunion is nothing short of combustible. However, when Quintin appears in their town things are about to get a little tenser.
Teegan and Emery grow closer while Teegan desperately tries to control Rusty’s lust and mating urges, especially when her parents weigh in and her father refuses, breaking his daughters heart. Tensions rise in the group when they take a trip to the compound where Emery was held captive for months.
Being back at the compound only reinforces Emery’s need for justice against her captors. However, unexpected guests show up in the woods forcing enemies to become friends in the hunt for those responsible for kidnapping Emery. When Clayton, Quintin and their bodyguards show up at Emery’s house all hell breaks loose creating a bigger rift between Emery and her mother.
Everything is starting to fall apart when Julian continues to get under Asher’s skin with his taunting and desire for Emery. Asher tries to keep it together especially now that Quintin is in town but when he’s receives a DVD of Emery and Quintin together his resolve snaps and Drago takes over destroying everything in his path.
Now that Asher and Emery have decided to split everything appears wrong in their world. Both question the reason why they can’t seem to keep their relationship together and to make matters worse Livvy Carter has finally decided to accept Emery as her sons true mate going so far as to give them a gift of a lifetime.
When things seem to look up again Emery’s father is rushed to hospital only fanning the flames of her hatred of Quintin’s father. Suspicions are cast when Brandy decides to throw a Christmas party at Pine Lake insisting that Asher come.
Devlin can’t take the lies anymore, with is mind made up he decides that breaking up with Brandy is the best thing for him and his friends. However, Brandy isn’t about to let them go without a fight.
When Asher is arrested after the party Emery has finally had enough of hiding. Taking Teegan along they pay Brandy a visit with a warning for Quintin’s father.
Emery is ready and waiting for him.
